Traditional Coffee - Superior
Score < 80
Traditional Coffee: These are the most widespread coffees in the various distribution channels in France, both private and professional.
Superior Coffee: These are coffees that contain no more than 20% Robusta, whose country of origin we know and/or which have a label (organic farming, fair trade, etc.)
The higher the rating, the more surprising your coffee tasting experience will be.

There's no better way to discover a new coffee than with a Terra Etica coffee bean. As well as being great tasting, these coffee beans have a number of quality features: fair trade, certified organic and French roasted.
Thanks to its 1kg packaging, it can be adapted to suit all tastes. If you're looking for a satisfying cup result, then this 1kg format of coffee beans will be perfect, allowing you to try out several extractions and discover all the coffee possibilities. But it can also be enjoyed with family or friends, with its guaranteed 130 cups.
This coffee is the result of a careful blend of beans from a single geographical area: the terroir of the Yungas in Bolivia, more specifically the Union ProAgo cooperative. Favoured by agriculture based on the principles of agroforestry and a high altitude, the cherries have had time to develop complex sugars, thanks to full ripeness.
Once in its possession, Terra Etica proceeds to roast its coffees in Pessac in Gironde, using traditional methods. The slow roasting process is in keeping with the origin of the coffee, releasing all the aromatic power of these coffee beans from the terroir.
When youtaste it, the coffee is rich at first, revealing delicious notes of milk chocolate and hazelnut. Then you're quickly overtaken by fruitier notes, reminiscent of red ber ries with hints of black cherry. The acidity of this coffee also plays a part. Enjoy itas an espresso or filter coffee.

The type of roast will affect the balance of flavours (bitterness, acidity, sweetness, etc.) and reveal the aromas of the terroir to a greater or lesser extent.
The more the coffee is roasted the more its colour will change (from light to dark). The darker the roast, the more the aromatic notes are lost in favour of the roasting notes.
All our coffees have been placed in a colorimeter by our experts in order to compare the roast intensity.
The aromatic groups describe the tasting notes of your cup (hazelnut, chocolate, peach, white flowers, etc.).
If you don't know what your coffee profile is yet, we advise you to start with the most appreciated aromatic groups: rich & sweet or woody.
Please Note: this is not a flavoured coffee but aromatic notes noticed upon tasting.
The dominant aromatic group represents the most perceptible notes and the secondary group, the more subtle notes present in the cup.
Traditional Coffees (classic and superior) are the most common in the various distribution channels.
Specialty Coffees (rated 80-100) are among the best coffees in the world and represent less than 10% of world production. These are flawless coffees that offer unique tasting notes from one terroir (or even plot) to another.
Attributed by “Q Graders”, a coffee's /100 score is determined by the quality of the beans and the result in the cup. It is advisable to progressively move towards coffees with higher scores.
