Harmonious Blend of Arabica and Robusta Beans in a Convenient 500g Pack
Caffè Vergnano’s Antica Bottega is a distinguished whole-bean coffee offered in a convenient 500 g pack. This blend combines carefully selected Arabica and Robusta beans from Central and South America and the Dominican Republic, delivering a perfectly balanced flavour. Expertly roasted to a deep, dark level in Turin, Italy, the beans undergo a slow roasting process of 18 to 22 minutes to preserve their unique characteristics. The result is a rich, velvety crema and a complex taste profile featuring gentle acidity, a full-bodied texture, and a lingering chocolate finish, ideal for both espresso and milk-based beverages.
A Proud Heritage of Italian Coffee Craftsmanship
With a heritage spanning four generations and 135 years, this Italian brand has become a benchmark in the coffee world. Originating from a small grocery shop, it has perfected every stage of the coffee journey, from roasting to retail. A pivotal moment came with the acquisition of a Kenyan plantation, underscoring its dedication to carefully selecting premium origins. While many opt for rapid roasting methods, Caffè Vergnano embraces slow roasting to fully reveal the unique character of each bean. Their range—including coffee beans, ground coffee, and capsules—offers quality certifications that ensure both exceptional flavour and consumer confidence.
Caffè Vergnano is a company that boasts a long and prestigious history.
The company was founded way back in 1882 by Domenico Vergnano, grandfather of the current owners, who set up business in the small medieval town of Chieri, at the foot of Turin Hill.
The true vocation of the Vergnano family became apparent very quickly: in just a few years they mastered the art of coffee-roasting and selling.
